Terms of Service

Last updated 5 November 2026

These terms are an agreement between your business and ZAPX SOLUTIONS LIMITED, trading as Zapx Labs (“we”, “us”) for using Pickuply. They are written for businesses, not consumers. By starting a trial or a plan you accept them on behalf of your business.

1. What Pickuply does

Pickuply is an AI receptionist. It answers the calls your business diverts to it, using the details you give it and your public website. It answers questions, takes messages and callback requests, can book appointments into a calendar you connect, and sends you a summary of each call. Callers are told they are speaking to an AI receptionist if they ask.

2. What Pickuply does not do

Pickuply is not a professional adviser. It does not give legal, medical, financial or other professional advice, and it is set up not to. For law firms it takes a short description of the matter and books a consultation or a callback; it does not say whether someone has a case.

It is not an emergency service. Callers in danger should always ring 999.

AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for checking the details it uses, reading your call summaries and following up with callers. Pickuply only answers the calls you divert to it; you choose which calls those are.

3. Free trial and plans

  • New businesses get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start. If no card is added by the end of the trial, the trial simply ends and you are never charged.
  • After the trial, plans are paid monthly in advance: Starter £39 a month (150 minutes of calls) and Pro £89 a month (400 minutes), as shown on our pricing page when you sign up. Prices may include or exclude VAT as shown at checkout.
  • There is no contract term. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, and your plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for. We don't refund part-months.
  • If we change our prices, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before the change applies to you.

4. Your phone number

UK telecoms rules require each Pickuply number to be registered to the business that uses it, so we will ask for your business details and pass them to our telecoms provider. Approval usually takes 1 to 3 working days. You keep your existing number; you divert the calls you can't answer to your Pickuply number. If you leave, we release the Pickuply number and you simply stop diverting calls to it.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate business details, and keep the information your receptionist uses up to date.
  • Tell your callers how you use their personal data (for example in your own privacy notice). You are the controller of your callers' data, and our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms.
  • Use Pickuply lawfully. Don't use it for unlawful, harassing or misleading calls, or to collect data you aren't allowed to collect.
  • Keep your sign-in secure and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

6. Your data

Your business information, call summaries and callers' details belong to you. We only use them to provide Pickuply to you, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. You can export or delete them by asking us at hello@getpickuply.com.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep Pickuply answering around the clock, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example if a telecoms, voice or hosting provider has an outage. If something goes wrong we will fix it as quickly as we can and tell you if it affected your calls.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

Otherwise, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost opportunities or indirect losses, including bookings or enquiries missed because of an AI error or a service interruption. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months.

9. Ending the service

You can cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if you don't pay, after telling you and giving you a fair chance to put it right where we reasonably can. When your account ends, we delete your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
